Unofficial Censored NFL Power Rankings AFTER DARK!!! Week #12
Neither rain, nor snow, nor FLU shall stop the Power Rankings.

I’m doing something a little different this week. Aside from the normal rankings, I’m going to add a little guess as to how I think things play out for the teams that I think are still alive for the playoffs, and how I see them doing if they get in.
Because at a certain point, there are just a handful of teams that can get to the Superb Owl and win it. Of course I could be wrong, but i’d be shocked if I am.
Current Draft Order

Now for the part you care about
#32 Titans 8 LOSSES SEASON OVER
Very impressive. They made it look very good while still losing in the end so as not to screw up their draft position.
#31 Raiders 8 LOSSES SEASON OVER
To add insult to injury, their strength of schedule is giving them a worse draft pick than they deserve.
#30 Browns 8 LOSSES SEASON OVER
Close call, but the Browns focus late to lose their 8th game.
#29 Commies/Reds 8 LOSSES SEASON OVER
Commies make easy work of the Dolphins to pass them on their way to a better draft pick. Good work guys!
#28 Saints 8 LOSSES SEASON OVER BYE WEEK
#27 Jets 8 LOSSES — SEASONS OVER!!
Pretty dramatic to win Sunday so they could lose the 8th game on national TV. Fields is a back-up. Stop pretending he’s not.
#26 Giants 8 LOSSES SEASON OVER
The Giants overcame a 4th quarter lead to lose and stay in the top 10 draft picks……One would assume the city and QB will help the Giants find a solid coach. That really is all that matters. The Giants need to lose games, find a coach, and Nabers needs to heal.
#25 Cards
Cards close late to lose their 7th game. Stay in the mix for a top 10 draft pick.
#24 Bengals
They gave the Steelers everything they could handle before letting the Steel Curtain close on them.
#23 Dolphins
Dolphins are showing the league they want to pick outside the top 10 with a victory over Commies, who both secured the tie-breaker over the Dolphins and got the Commies to the all-important 8th loss.
#22 Falcons
The Falcons have come apart at the seams. And I am the biggest Penix guy, but leaving with a knee injury makes me feel like I was wrong about him. Talent is great, but the best ability is availability.
#21 Vikings
With Addison, Hochenson and Jefferson playing, JJ throws for 150 yards. Vikings need to cut bait. JJ has backup talent. And he gets hurt a lot. Even if he evolves, he still doesn’t have the arm necessary to be elite.
#20 Cowboys
You beat the Raiders, so would most Sun Belt teams…
#19 Panthers
Brice Young has a career….A career day, but more like a career in a day. 448 yards in a game doesn’t make the top 50 all-time games by a QB, but it’s Viagra to David Tepper, who left the stadium in Atlanta and went directly to the Gold Club. But seriously, congrats to Brice. And right now the Panthers are on the playoff bubble.
#18 Chiefs
Yeah, it’s not clicking this year…
This is interesting. They go 3–3 over the next 6 games. Then the Raiders become a must-win game with the Raiders playing for a better draft pick and to ruin the Chiefs’ season, play inspired and……
#17 Texans
They almost lost to the Titans. The Titans want to lose.
Texans have a tough schedule from here. But the key game will be the Chiefs. If they beat them, they will probably make the playoffs. They don’t, I don’t see it happening.
#16 Packers
The Packers beat a terrible team they were losing to in the 4th qtr. Way to steal victory from a team that is more focused on the 1st pick in the draft than anything else.
The Packers will win either 3 or 4 of the remaining 7 games. If it’s 3, they miss the playoffs. If 4, they make it. But with Jacobs going down I think it’ll be 3. The wild card is the tie with Dallas.
#15 Steelers
Mason Rudolf leads the Steelers to a big AFC North victory. Aaron got an owie…..and had to watch the game in the locker room.
3–4 Over the last 7 games and miss the playoffs.
#14 Jags
I would say this was a statement, but they are much better at home, the Chargers are broken down (as predicted), and the big playoff loss to the Bolts a couple of years ago is still fresh.
WIth 7 to go I feel like 3–4 is their future. But with wins over the Bolts and Chiefs they get in on a tie breaker.
#13 Chargers
125 total yards of offense. That’s really everything you need to know about what is the end of whatever Harbaugh has been doing. Cuz, it aint working. The Chargers have 5 rushing TD’s through 11 games. Herbert has been really good but has been beaten to near death.
Whether you win 3 or 4 games it doesn’t matter. They have no more than 1 win in the playoffs. But anyone with a brain knows killing off your players (Harbaugh) doesn’t work. It’s 17 games now, you can’t come into the season after a super hard camp any more. It’s not 1966. With 12 games, fine. 14, sure, 17 and 3 playoff games…no. Smash mouth for 20 games is not going to lead to a winning formula long term.
#12 49ers
Big win, they put up 40+, but Jacoby threw the ball 57 times. And the 49ers got zero sacks. Everyone in the pacific time zone knew he was going to throw it and they never sacked him. That is a terrible sign for the 49er future.
Too many injuries, knocked out of the first round.
#11 The Detroit Lions
It was cold, at night, windy, no dome, cheese steaks were poisoned, playing the superb owl champions, they knew the Bears won… whatever, this was u-g-l-y…. Balls dropped, balls sailing into the night sky, it was a comedy of incompetence.
They will rally, then go to either Philly or LA for the 2nd round of the playoffs and lose.
#10 Ravens
The Browns hang tough, but Ravens pull it out to pace the Steelers.
They win at least 6 of the next 7 and win the division. They will very possibly be in the Super Bowl.
#9 Bears
The Bears won a nail-biter over the Vikings, where they had no sacks and 1 tackle for loss the entire game. The Bears are winning, but they are not very good.
Bears go 3–4 down the stretch and sorta back in.
#8 Bills
Josh Allen is the entire team. He threw for 3 TD’s and ran for 3. Defense gives up 30 and Josh bails them out.
The Bills have 3 games they should win and 4 toss ups. Which means they win 3 of the 4 toss ups and lose 2 they should win. They make the playoffs.
#7 Bucs
The Josh Allens are not very good, however, Josh Allen is very, very good. Baker kept it close every 3 weeks. Allen just takes over a game and no one is going to beat them. The Bucs ran into that.
They lose the next game, then win 4 of the last 6 to make the playoffs.
#6 Broncos
The Broncos did it. They beat the Chiefs. Their pass rush is nasty, their linebackers fly around and the secondary is glue, But they only beat a team that isn’t currently in the playoffs. They have a home field at the moment. But they play two bad teams the next two weeks and they won’t win both. Also, the Colts have the tiebreaker.
They win at least 3 of the next 7, but don’t be surprised if they lose the last 2 games. I don’t see home field running through Denver.
#5 Patriots
An 8 game winning streak is impressive, no matter what league you play in.
I don’t want to piss in anyone’s cheerios, but other than the Bills (who we now know are suspect) and the Bucs (who are also kinda suspect) the Pats have beaten no. Carolina, Miami, Cleveland, Titans & Saints aren’t scaring anyone. And the losses are to the Steelers and the Raiders. Other than Baltimore and Buffalo, they should win out. You can pencil in 13–4 or better, but I don’t think they have the horses to go very far.
#4 Seahawks
Sam Darnold lost this game. The defense played over their head and drove Stafford nuts with pressure, but 2 really ugly interceptions cost them a game they should have won. And I hate to say it, but we are getting to the point in the season where Mr Jekyll comes out of Mr. Darnold.
I see the Hawks losing 1–2 games before the playoffs.. And I won’t be surprised if the Rams win the division. Maybe they win one playoff game, but I think they are a year away.
#3 Colts BYE WEEK
#2 Rams
Stafford has won the MVP. Congrats. ……Well, they won. And beating the Seahawks was a Herculean task. The Hawks D tortured Stafford, but to his credit, made the necessary throws and Puka was a monster. But the hero was the D line. The Rams D line tortured Darnold. Who did not handle it well and threw 2 very ugly interceptions. Impressive as all that is, they won because the kicker missed a 61 yards field goal at the end.
If the Eagles misstep the Rams get the bye week. It’s a two horse race for that trophy and logically a Superb Owl.
#1 Eagles
Wow this was sad. The Eagles get credit for winning, but they didn’t exactly Jamyr Gibbs had more total yards than Hurts did passing. And the Lions put up 9 points.
They have had a gauntlet over the last few weeks. Now is the easier part of the schedule. They should have a home field.
Updated playoff odds.
